Character appearance- Firestar as a cat.
Upon entering the Digital World he's become an anthromorph, covered in his flame-colored fur. He still has paws and remains looking extremely cat-like, except standing upright. He's about four feet tall.
Character age- About six (hopefully a more exact age can be determined...)
Character history- Firestar was once a house cat ( "kittypet" ) named Rusty who dreamed and longed for the wild. One day he ventured into the forest beyond his fence and met (i.e. was pounced on by) a forest cat named Graypaw. He held his own against the other cat and soon two other cats approached him, one of them being Bluestar, the leader of a forest clan called ThunderClan. Unbeknownst to him, Bluestar had recently heard a prophecy from StarClan (i.e. the place cats go when they die and the source of wisdom from above) saying "fire would save the Clan." Impressed with his spirit and driven by the prophecy, she extended a welcome to ThunderClan.
Rusty agreed and left his home the next day. He was led to the Clan by two senior warriors (i.e. cats that defend the Clan) and wasn't given a warm welcome. Many of the Clan saw him as a weak, defenseless kittypet. Regardless, he proved he could stand on his own and was given the apprentice (i.e. cats six moons or more old, training to be a warrior) name of Firepaw. The Clan was soon told of the death of their deputy (second in command) Redtail from Tigerclaw, an ambitious warrior.
Firepaw learned of the three other Clans, RiverClan, WindClan, and ShadowClan. Throughout his time in the Clan, he and his new found friend Graypaw learned from Ravenpaw, a squirrelly apprentice, that Redtail had been murdered by Tigerclaw. After an event where kits (i.e. kittens) were stolen and rescued by the tyrannical ShadowClan leader Brokenstar, the two apprentices helped Ravenpaw fake his death so he could escape Tigerclaw's fury and earned their warrior names of Fireheart and Graystripe.
From that point on, Fireheart tried to convince Bluestar of Tigerclaw's treachery, though ultimately failing. His life in the Clan was never dull: he received messages from a recently deceased cat who he was infatuated with known as Spottedleaf, Graystripe fell in love with a RiverClan cat (i.e. forbidden) and the two started to grow apart, he learned of his kittypet sister and discovered she wanted him to take one of her sons (a kit who was later known as Cloudtail) to the Clans. Tigerclaw eventually betrayed ThunderClan and attempted to kill Bluestar. He was stopped by Fireheart, who was then made Clan deputy. In the aftermath, Graystripe left for RiverClan following the birth of his kits and, through an unforseen problem with the kitting, consequential death of his love. Fireheart grew closer to a fellow warrior known as Sandstorm and came to rely on his former apprentice-turned medicine cat apprentice (i.e. healer cats and ones that receive messages from StarClan) Cinderpaw.
A fire spread through the Clan and the cats barely made it out alive. Several elders (i.e. older cats who no longer hunt) and the well-loved medicine cat Yellowfang died, and Bluestar lost her faith in StarClan, becoming bitter and cold. Tigerclaw, unknown of treachery by the other Clans, wandered into ShadowClan and became their leader. Unbeknownst to his Clan, he led a pack of dogs through Thunderclan territory and terrorized the cats there. A warrior was killed, an apprentice was killed, another maimed, and in the end Bluestar sacrificed herself to save Fireheart, her Clan, and her children from RiverClan (who had no idea that she was their mother).
After a visit to the Moonstone (i.e. a glowing stone where cats communicate with StarClan) Fireheart became Firestar, earning his nine lives from StarClan. Tigerstar attempted to unite the forest against him, and succeeded in bringing RiverClan over to his side (only to enslave and several of them soon after), but WindClan sided with ThunderClan. In a bold move, Tigerstar tried to bring a vicious kittypet named Scourge and his Clan, BloodClan, over to his side, but Scourge betrayed him and killed him, the wound being so horrible that StarClan could not heal him. RiverClan and ShadowClan were accepted into LionClan, the large joint-Clan that had formed to fight BloodClan, and after losing a life and Whitestorm, a treasured friend and his deputy, Firestar was victorious and the Clans went back to normal.
Firestar more or less stopped his reckless adventures, taking his place as Clan leader. He and Sandstorm had two daughters, Leafpaw and Squirrelpaw. The Clan had to abandon the forest after it was ravaged and destroyed by Twolegs (i.e. humans). Many cats died from starvation or poisoned food, and some were even captured, including Leafpaw. All of the captured cats were freed, but at the tragic loss of Graystripe, who in turn was taken by the Twolegs himself.
The Clans settled into a new home by a large lake found by a group of cats (one from each Clan) chosen by StarClan. Firestar continued to lead ThunderClan and was almost killed by Hawkfrost and Brambleclaw, Tigerstar’s sons. Brambleclaw, who was also Firestar’s deputy, turned on his brother and saved Firestar. He later fathered Squirrelpaw’s – now Squirrelflight – kits.
Firestar is still the leader of ThunderClan. With six lives left, he continues to lead his Clan and welcome in any cat in need. With the recent surprising return of Graystripe and the apprenticing of his three grandkits – Lionpaw, Hollypaw, and Jaypaw – his life is never dull, especially considering an unnerving prophecy regarding the three kits.
Character personality- Ever since he was a young kit, Firestar has always been bold, daring, and adventurous. Since taking over ThunderClan, he’s had little time for adventures, but he hasn’t completely lost his spark. Because of all the death he's seen - mostly of treasured friends or Clanmates - he carries himself differently - sadder and, in a way, wiser.
He was once bothered by his kittypet roots, and developed a strong sense of determination to help rise above them. Now, much to the chagrin of some of the Clan cats, he is gladly welcoming – maybe a little too much so – of any cat who wants to join ThunderClan, be they kittypet or not.
He is extremely loyal to his Clan and friends, and if he forms a bond with someone it is usually strong and pure. Because of his habit of helping other Clans, some members of ThunderClan believe he is not the best cat for the job, though his past accomplishments and ability to pull his Clan out of trouble speak for themselves.
He is also, however, a little dense when it comes to shecats and any romantic implications involved with them. When casually talking, he sometime put his preverbal paw in his mouth, something he hasn’t quite outgrown.
Here's a list of terms Firestar has used that will differ between humans and hi, because they are totally out there:
StarClan: A "Clan" made up of dead cats - where cats who believe in StarClan go when they die, pretty much. This takes the place of religion for Clan cats.
ThunderClan: The group of cats he's from that hunts in forests.
ShadowClan: A rival group of cats who hunt in dense, boggy forests.
Two-Legs: Humans
Apprentice: A cat six moons (months) or older that has been given a mentor in order to train to be a warrior. Firestar refers to Leormon as such because he sounds and acts like one (AKA, he's still young).
Thunderpath: A road
Monster: A car or truck
Sharing tongues: Pretty much when two cats groom each other, often associated with relaxing and talking about the day.
MoonPool: A sparkling pool that holds deep religious significance for the Clans. They go here to "share tongues" with StarClan by drinking from the pool and visiting them in their dreams.
More to come as Firestar interacts with people more. If a term confuses you, just ask me. You can also go here - http://warriors.wikia.com/wiki/Clan_Terminology. Pretty much all of the terms Firestar will use are there, and they have a lot of information on the Warriors series as well (because the bio I did was actually pretty general X_X).
